The Hampton Roads African American Sports Hall of Fame was created in
1995 and is a non-profit organization established to pay tribute to
individuals who have exhibited outstanding athletic achievements.
We honor the athletes and sports figures who have held an historical
role in sports and social development. The heroes that have been inducted
into HRAASHF have encouraged our youth to strive for excellence, not only
in their athletic development but also in their academic and social
development skills. The Hampton Roads African American Sports Hall of Fame

banquet is scheduled for November 5, 2005 at the beautiful Renaissance
Hotel in downtown Portsmouth, VA. Nominations can be made online or by
mail to P.O. Box 3635, Norfolk, Virginia 23514. We ask that you include a bio,
address, and phone number of your nominee. In the event there is a need for
additional information, please include a number where you can be contacted.
The cut-off date for entering nominations is June 5, 2005. Nominees must reside
or have lived in the Hampton Roads area. The Hampton Roads African-American
Sports Hall of Fame will host its 9th annual banquet on November 5, 2005 in
beautiful downtown Portsmouth, VA. Tickets will go on sale August 30, 2005 and
advance tickets can be purchased by calling(757) 340-3056. Please include your
address, phone number, and the number of tickets e-trading.vn/registration you desire. Our cut-off date
for advance tickets is October 7, 2005; however, tickets can be purchased at
the banquet.
